• Demos are NOT Free Software

  Simple. Records directly to music library in whatever format you want.

  Cons

  Seems a bit TOO simple. The "FREE" software is NOT real. This is ONLY a lousy demo which puts beeps on the recording. The fact this is just a demo MUST be the lead off information as you look at it to download.

  Summary

  Anybody that promotes a demo as "FREE software" is deceiptful and can't be trusted. I will be immediately be uninstalling this software and on to something else.

• Clean and simple to use

  Simple to use not to many bells and whistles to deal with. Have used it since 2006 and new update makes it even better. Lets me record music of my records and save the recordings to my computer. Then burn to CD's..

  Cons

  I can't think of any cons. Worth the $10 I paid in 2006.

  Seemed a little flaky on windows 7, but attribute this to windows more than I do the app.

  Summary

  I picked up this little app when I was running windows 2000 and paid $7USD at the time. Had used it quite a bit on XP and just upgraded to Win7. I was shocked that my ancient passcode still worked and got a free upgrade. These guys are more into just getting you to try their product than to get their hands in your pocket which I appreciate. I don't buy much software (big fan of open source), but this little program is just what I needed to digitize my very large analog audio library. It is very cheap and you get a really good app.

  Pros

  Easy installation. Paypal setup allowed for almost instant installation. Works with my Stanton T.92 USB turntable, and detects it as long as it's plugged in. But the hidden gem is the customer service. I emailed Wieser Software, and within an hour, I had a response. Nicely done. Incidentally, the question I asked was for a feature that allows you to choose when the track breaks. Shift+Stop does that. I never knew you could break tracks manually. Anthony Wieser really thought about features people want, and you can tell he's proud of his software. He should be.

  Cons

  It takes a little testing to know that your recording levels aren't distorting, but hey, so did tape decks. It's not a con, but I have to write something, right?

  Summary

  Fantastic price, amazing value. I'd have paid double the price for what I saw several programs sell for vs. features, but I'll keep that down until you guys buy it.

  Installed earlier version (3.4) 8 years ago. Works very well indeed but have just got new laptop so thought time to load up latest version (4.04). Contacted RipVinyl support to see what involved in upgrade. WIthin 2 days got a response which was very clear and have now got the latest software loaded, ready to go. No cost for the upgrade. Exceptionally good value even 8 years ago but to be able to upgrade free of charge - very impressive. Great product, great service. Keep up the good work Wieser.

• Easy 2 use-converts cassettes & LPs 2 WMA, MP3 & WAV

  Pros

  Been using this program for at least 7 years to convert all of my really old 33-1/3 LPs and cassettes. Easy program to use, lots of ways to customize what you are recording.

  Cons

  Unfortunately, old LPs were sometimes done in stereo and had 2 separate channels. When U try 2 convert them directly 2 digital, 1 of the channels becomes very faint in the background. I got around it by converting LP 2 cassette & then 2 digital.

  Great program. I highly recommend it.

  Pros

  Tech support is excellent, replied to email query within minutes and resolved issue. I have used it for years with no problems,(other than changed computer OS and had to re-install)

  Cons

  No cons, maybe a few noise filter controls would be a nice touch though.

  Summary

  Buy it, you will like it if your into one or two touch opperation devices, as I am.

  Pros

  Very good customer support - I lost my key from a copy I bought 5 years ago and they emailed me details within a day! Easy to use Allows Win7 users to record from speakers Support for MP3 recording & allows muliple tracks from LP's to be recorded

  Cons

  Could do with a scratch/noise/hum remover of some sort, otherwise none.

  Summary

  Superb and easy to use, no fuss program.
